COMING UP!! MUSIKILI SCHOOL SPONSORED GOLF DAY – SATURDAY, JUNE 3!  Whether you’re a player or bar supporter, this is always a great day for Mazabukans and visitors alike. The competition will be Pinehurst (two ball alliance) and if you’re keen on playing, phone either Andrew or Theresa Taylor on 03 230-830 or 097454-688 or email them on ttaylor@zamtel.zm. An update on the golf course is that it is in pretty good shape generally, although it’s still a good idea to avoid the rough at all costs.  There are masses of sponsored competitions coming up now that the new committee is in place, so check the notice board for competition news.

GUAVAS FOR APRIL FOOLS DAY  Apologies to everyone who went in search of the Guava Liqueur factory mentioned in last month’s Lowdown.  Although it was an April 1 joke, it could be a great idea for guava-loving-entrepreneurs.

POT HOLES ALMOST HISTORY The main roads in Mazabuka have undergone a dramatic face lift over the last few months.  Despite the rains, contractors have plodded on trying to resurface some of them, but many are still in desperate need of repair!

ART LESSONS  On going, and very popular,  at Rory and Suzanne McDougall’s Bedrock Farm.  Phone Rory on 097 793-008 if you would like to explore your creative side!
