Something Meaty

It is inevitable that in any growing economy comes change - and with change comes welcome improvements and innovations. A new Zambian food processing company, Salim’s Halaal Meats, is proof that this is so.

Salim’s have come on the market with a large variety of polonies, meat loaves, chicken loaves, sausages, salamis and biltong that are not only tasty, but attractively packaged. There is even a range for the health conscious!

The MD of Salim’s is, naturally, very proud of their products which are manufactured under hygienic conditions using, what he says are ‘our secret, winning recipes’. And of course, he assures us that only the best quality meat and spices are used.

But what is really of interest is that Salim’s products are the first and, so far, only processed meat products that have been approved by the Zambian Bureau of Standards. Award of such an approval is based on scrupulous hygiene, good management and high quality raw materials.

Salim’s products are available from Shoprite branches in Lusaka, Spar at Arcades and various smaller outlets in Lusaka.
